Certificates
Certificates are intended to recognize student achievement in particular areas of focus not readily apparent on a student's degree or transcript.
An embedded credit certificate implies that the requirements of the certificate can be met by students during the completion of their regular degree program. The embedded certificate defines a specific area of focus for the student during the course of their degree program. There are no additional fees assessed for courses taken towards an embedded certificate other than those that would normally apply to those courses. Students must apply for Certificates through the Undergraduate Student Services in the Faculty of Science by the application deadline for convocation.

How to receive your certificate
Embedded certificates are awarded when you graduate. You must apply for the certificate at the same time as your application to graduate. If the option to add a certificate is not visible in Bear Tracks when you apply to graduate, then please use the Google form found in SciForms. If you have any concerns, check with Science Student Services.
Certificate and graduation applications must be received before the deadline date as set by the Convocation office.
Note that certificates cannot be added retroactively after you graduate. Make sure all requirements are completed on time and you apply for it.
