International Visiting Student Program

The International Visiting Student Program (IVSP) is designed for students who are registered in a degree program at a university outside of Canada who wish to study at the University of Alberta for 4–12 months. It features built-in support to enhance academic English and strengthen intercultural skills alongside regular academic coursework.

Research Internships

Visiting Students (non-Exchange)

Students enrolled at other universities may be able to attend the University of Alberta for one term or one academic year as a visiting student. The purpose is usually to receive course credit that can be transferred back to their degree at their home institution.
