Science Summer Camps 2026 schedule is released below. Registration for camps will open February 17 at 9:00 a.m. a link will be active when camp registration is live.

When You Register Please Note:
  • On the first registration page, "Tell us about yourself", the name and email address is that of the parent/guardian who will receive the registration confirmation.
  • On the second page, click on "+ Add Minor (4-17)" to enter the name of each child you would like to register for camps.
  • The third page, "Selections" is where you to fill out parent/guardian emergency contact information as well as make camp selections for your children; you must complete both sections to proceed to payment.
  • The final page, "Review" will allow you to review, pay, and finish.

Summer Camps Need to Know:

  • All camps are designed for campers entering the following grades in their next school year (Fall 2026).
  • All camps are $350 for a 5 day week, and $280 for a 4 day week.
  • With our diverse range of camps, there is something for everyone. No experience required for any camps!
  • Please see our Information and Policies section for more information. 
  • Our camp operating hours:
    • Camp Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 
    • Supervised Drop Off: 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
    • Supervised Pick Up: 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Lunch and Snacks: Campers are required to bring their own lunch and snacks every day. There is an option for campers purchase their lunch on Mondays or Fridays. Should a camper choose to purchase a meal on those days, staff will provide an escort to the Student Union Building.

Going into Grades 1-2 (Fall 2026)

Animal Minis (Grades 1-2)

Calling all animal lovers. In this camp you will learn about different animal groups, animal traits, animal habitats, and more. Plus visit some of our museums and collections to see university teaching specimens.

Body Science Minis (Grades 1-2)

Interested in learning more about your body and mind? In this camp you will learn about parts of your body, test your senses, learn about psychology, participate in fun experiments, and more.

Chemistry Minis (Grades 1-2)

Explore the wonderful world of science through chemistry. Each day, you will discover the chemistry behind topics like colours, bubbles, water, food and more. Participate in cool hands-on activities and experiments and see fascinating demonstrations.

Cyber Minis (Grades 1-2)

Let your imagination run wild. In this introductory computer camp, you will be introduced to creative computing, problem-solving, robotics, video games and much more.

Chemistry Juniors (Grades 3-4)

Develop your observation and problem solving skills through hands-on activities, experiments, and challenges in the exciting world of chemistry.

Solve technological challenges while learning computing fundamentals through problem-solving activities, computer animation, video game creation and programming basics.

Take the next steps with Minecraft on the computer. Learn more about the game, compete, and complete fun challenges with a group and create fun off computer Minecraft related projects.

A great way to launch into the out-of-this-world field of space science. Learn all about the solar system, space rocks, space exploration, robotics and more.

Science and Sport Skills Combo (Ages 9-11)

 In partnership with Green and Gold camps, the Faculty of Science is offering a full-day combination camp for ages 9-11. For half the day, learn about computer science, forensic science, or nature science with our science camp leaders, as listed below. Engage in hands-on learning in science, experiments, and facility visits with our science staff. During the other half of the time, experience sport, play, activities that focus on the development of new skills with Green and Gold camp leaders.

Please Note: Registration for these programs can only be completed through the Green and Gold camps registration. Green and Gold camp registration opens the week of February 16.

Computing Science Explorers (Grades 5-6)

Learn how to make interactive programs and games on the computer to share with others. Discover the world of web design, program robots in action, and create your own web apps that are playable on mobile devices.

Develop your observation and problem solving skills through hands-on activities, experiments, and challenges in the exciting world of chemistry.

Game Design Explorers (Grades 5-6)

Design and build your own video game by learning how to use game design tools such as Scratch, Kodu, Twine and more. Create artwork, design characters, learn about storytelling in games, program interactive elements and create your own game demo.

Math Game Explorers (Grades 5-6)

Puzzles, problems, and a math fair project. Develop your mathematical thinking by solving puzzles, tackling problems and developing sophisticated strategies to win mathematical games. End the camp by creating math exhibits that you will present to your fellow campers.

Minecraft Explorers (Grades 5-6)

Anything you imagine, you can build. Minecraft newbies and experts alike will learn about custom blocks and circuits, science in Minecraft, farming and pixel art. Work together on the computer to solve challenges, and build your own community within Minecraft.

Body Science Challengers (Grades 7-8)

Explore the science of your body and mind. In this camp, you will learn about anatomy, physiology, psychology and more. Participate in hands-on activities and visit labs that study how the body and mind works.

Computing Science Challengers (Grades 7-8)

Upgrade your computing skills. Using a variety of tools, software, and computing languages, you will learn about the diverse world of computing science. Students will be challenged by computing concepts such as computer programming, 3D design, artificial intelligence, and more.

Digital Creator Challengers (Grades 7-8)

Unleash your creativity using the computer. In this camp you will learn to use digital paint tools, 3D modeling tools, program robots with markers, exploring video editing, creating graphic design, and more.

Minecraft Challengers (Grades 7-9)

Want to learn how to use Minecraft in different and creative ways? Take your skills and creativity to the next level by using Minecraft to create your own worlds and games using custom characters and much more.

Nature Challengers (Grades 7-8)

Look at nature around you and under the microscope. In this camp, you will learn about the world of biological sciences by visiting museums and collections, participating in hands-on activities, and viewing specimens under the microscope.

Will you be the next computing science innovator? Learn more about computing science through hands-on programming using python, web development languages, and programming computer hardware. No computing experience necessary.
