- Recognize the importance of early identification and ongoing management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in primary care, including its reproductive, metabolic, and psychosocial impacts.
- Access and effectively use the Provincial PCOS Primary Care Clinical Pathway to support evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and management.
- Promote management strategies for PCOS, including lifestyle, pharmacologic, and monitoring approaches, while leveraging community and allied health resources.
- Determine when referral to specialty care is indicated and identify appropriate local and provincial resources to support patients with complex PCOS presentation.
- Discuss PCOS Research and Community Engagement

Dare to lead™:
A courage-building leadership program
Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, the Dare to LeadTM program is available to anyone looking to step out with grater courage in their professional and personal life.
New Course dates: April 28, 2026 and continues weekly until June 9th, 2026 I 4:30 to 7:00 pm MT I Delivered via Zoom

This program is eligible for:
- Dare to Lead™ can be used to complete the Personal Development cycle of the CPSA’s Physician Practice Improvement Program (PPIP). Participants can fulfill documentation requirements by tracking and reflecting on their learning through the MyL3Plan tool.
- Professional development funding available to UofA support staff through the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF).
- Alberta Medical Association (AMA) CME reimbursement under Quality Improvement Cost on the Application form

The Program
Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program designed to be facilitated by organizational development professionals.
The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage building skills through workshops, trainings, and coaching to help individuals, teams, and organizations move from armoured leadership to daring leadership.
Individuals who successfully complete the full 24-hour Dare to Lead™ program will receive a certificate of completion and are allowed to put the Dare to Lead Trained badge on their LinkedIn account.

Crucial Conversations® teaches skills for creating alignment and agreement by fostering open dialogue around high-stakes, emotional, or risky topics. Learn How to help Your Patients Living with Overweight and Obesity CoursE
This four week interactive course will provide you with an overview of therapeutic approaches, help you frame clinical conversations, provide you with the opportunity to share your experiences, and discuss strategies to improve obesity prevention and management in your practice.

The Evidence-based Practice for Improving Quality (EPIQ) workshop developed by the Canadian Neonatal Network (CNN) and the Canadian Neonatal Foundation (CNF) uses a hands-on approach that enables teams to successfully implement quality improvement together.
Learning Objectives:
By using simulated or real-life quality improvement opportunities, participants will be able to:
- Work together as teams
- Use quality improvement (QI) tools
- Plan QI activities in their facilities and communities
- Learn how to use MyL3Plan to support the PPIP requirements
