leadership Positions
Pre-Clerkship Academic Lead, NAMP - This position is 0.2 FTE and is responsible for assisting the MD Program Curriculum Teams with overview of curriculum objectives, focusing these objectives on 'generalism' as the goal for student learning, reviewing course preparation/feedback with each Course Coordinator, and working with a Y1 Academic Coordinator and Y2 Academic Coordinator to complete this work.
Y1 (Year 1) Academic Coordinator, NAMP - As above, this is a 0.2 FTE position with similar responsibilities but specifically focused on Y1 courses - Foundations, Metabolism, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Pulmonary and Renal.
Y2 (Year 2) Academic Coordinator, NAMP - As above, this is a 0.2 FTE position with similar responsibilities but specifically focused on Y2 courses - Gastroenterology/Nutrition, Reproductive Medicine/Urology, MSK, Psychiatry, Neurosciences, and Oncology.
Clerkship Academic Lead - This position is 0.2 FTE and is responsible for oversight of Clerkship (Year 3&4) learning, including coordinating, organizing, assisting and providing feedback to all Clerkship Course Site Leads (11) at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital. This individual will work closely with all Clerkship Course Directors, who oversee the design, objectives, delivery, review and feedback on their respective Clerkship Course across all learning sites within the MD Program. The Y3 courses are Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics and Psychiatry; and Y4 courses are Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Critical Care Selective, Subspecialty Internal Medicine and Subspecialty Surgery.
