The University of Alberta has established the following policies and procedures for postdoctoral scholars (PDS).
As a postdoctoral scholar engaged in research at the university, it's important to familiarize yourself with the U of A’s Intellectual Property Policies. These policies cover patent policy, copyright, software use, research publications, ownership of research materials, authorship guidelines, research affiliation agreements and royalty revenue policy.
Postdoctoral Scholars Employees are governed by the Postdoctoral Scholars Collective Agreement.
Postdoctoral Scholars Visitors and Postdoctoral Scholars Awardees are covered by policies in the University of Alberta Policies and Procedures (UAPPOL):
