Ethics and PD Requirements
All graduate students at the University of Alberta are required to complete the Ethics and Academic Citizenship requirement and the Professional Development requirements.
Ethics and Academic Citizenship Requirement
Self-register in an online, asynchronous course to learn about your rights, responsibilities and obligations as a graduate student at the U of A:
- Master's students are required to complete INT D 710.
- Doctoral students are required to complete INT D 710 and INT D 720.
Professional Development Requirements
Learn professional skills, apply your talents and make connections that will help you excel in your chosen field as part of your professional development requirement. All graduate students are required to:
- Create an Individual Development Plan (IDP), and
- Complete eight hours of professional development training.
