Overview

What the Program has to offer:

  • A unique school in Italy, where U of A professors teach in English and courses count directly for U of A credit - so there are no transfer credit issues!
  • Students may take a wide variety of Arts courses; including Renaissance Art, Roman Civilization, Italian language and Political Science
  • Situated in beautiful Tuscany, an hour and a half north of Rome by train, midway between the Adriatic and Ligurian Seas
  • Located in Cortona, a town ripe with history and culture
  • Enrolment is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Your spot is not secured until you pay your deposit

Terms Offered: Winter, Spring

 Winter 2027 dates (January 17 to March 25, 2027)

Orientation in Cortona and hotel check-in: Sunday, January 17, 2027*

First day of classes: Monday, January 18

Last day of classes: Monday, March 22

Final exams: Tuesday, March 23 and Wednesday, March 24

Departure: Thursday, March 25

Spring 2027 dates

Spring I (May 3 to May 28, 2027)

Orientation in Cortona and hotel check-in: Monday, May 3*

First day of classes: Tuesday, May 4

Last day of classes: Wednesday, May 26

Final exams: Thursday, May 27

Check out and departure from Cortona: Friday, May 28

Spring II (May 31 to June 25, 2027)

Orientation in Cortona and hotel check-in: Monday, May 31*

First day of classes: Tuesday, June 1

Last day of classes: Wednesday, June 23

Final exams: Thursday, June 24

Check out and departure from Cortona: Friday, June 25

*Plan to arrive in Italy at least one day prior to hotel check-in.
