Eligibility Requirements
Open to: Those from all faculties who are currently enrolled as degree-seeking students in, or have graduated from, a college or university as of the first day of the program, and have an academic interest in Japan.
Level: Undergraduate, Graduate
GPA: 3.0
Program Criteria:
- Those who have graduated from high school and are 18 years old or over on the first day of the program.
- Those who are currently enrolled as degree-seeking students in, or have graduated from, a college or university as of the first day of the program, and have an academic interest in Japan.
- A minimum Japanese language level of upper beginner is required by the time the program starts; (completed CEFR A2.1; equivalent to ICU J2 level)
**This is equivalent to those students who have finished:
'初級日本語げんき 1 GENKI: An Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese I',
'みんなの日本語初級1 'Minna no Nihongo Shokyu I', or
'NAKAMA なかま 1'
*Complete beginners with no prior study are not eligible. - A minimum English language level is required; (TOEFL 79 / IELTS 6.0 is recommended)

Participants stay in the ICU on-campus dormitory:
