Budget Planning
Make a budget plan before you leave and update it regularly throughout your experience.
- Use a budget planner to help you estimate the costs of your Go Abroad experience. You can use this template, or design your own.
- Determine a budget that works for you while considering every possible expense. Calculate your own financial needs based on your unique circumstances.
- Talk to people who are familiar with your country or who have studied abroad there before to understand the costs of living.
- Ask your program for a sample budget if that’s available.
- Take conversion rates into account.
- It’s always better to over-budget than to under-budget.
Be sure to explore funding opportunities that support your Go Abroad adventures.
