Campus & Community Recreation Programs

Approvals and actions required for off-campus activity and travel involving Campus & Community Recreation programs.

If you haven't already, please assess the overall risk level for your off-campus activity or travel before proceeding.

Required Approvals

  • Risk level 1 (low): By definition, travel with undergraduate students cannot be low risk
  • Risk level 2 (medium): Program Coordinator with Risk Management Executive review
  • Risk level 3 (moderate): Program Coordinator, Team Lead, and with Risk Management Executive review
  • Risk level 4 (high):
    • Club Sports Programs assessed at a high risk level will not be approved. Instead, those activities will be directed towards CCR Adventure Programs.
    • Adventure Programs are registered programs coordinated by CCR full-time staff and led by reputable 3rd-party organizations (not led by students). Adventure Programs will be approved by Program Coordinator(s), Team Lead, and Senior Manager, with Subject Matter Expert (SME) review. SME may be any one of: Faculty Health and Safety Advisors; Health, Safety + Environment (HSE); Risk Management and Insurance; International Education and Enrolment.
  • Risk level 5 (extreme): Campus & Community Recreation Programs assessed at an extreme risk level will not be approved
